Rally at offices of Representative Derek Kilmer, Senator Patty Murray & Senator Maria Cantwell.

October 60 years ago, the Soviet Union and U.S. engaged in a tense standoff over Russian installation of nuclear weapons in Cuba, and U.S. nuclear weapons in Turkey, widely considered the closest the two superpowers ever came to nuclear war… UNTIL NOW, when hotspots like Ukraine and Taiwan threaten to erupt into catastrophes.

In the name of our children we plead for our Electeds to shift gears away from the high-risk crush Russia gambit. Instead encourage our war sotted culture to:

• Stop blocking Russia and Ukraine’s attempts to find exit paths from this dangerous war.
• Revive nuclear-weapons treaties that the U.S. pulled out of — the Anti-Ballistic Missile (ABM) and Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaties.
• Lead the way for the Nuclear Powers to sign the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) which most of the countries in the world support.

We will carpool from the Port Townsend Park and Ride leaving at 8:30
