The risks of nuclear war and the costs of the Federal government’s “War Machine” both continue to escalate. This webinar, taking place during the week of June 10-17 honoring Daniel Ellsberg, will examine ICBMs, the most costly, vulnerable and dangerous leg of the nuclear triad of land, sea and air-based missiles.

Our speakers: 

Norman Solomon is a journalist, media critic, author and activist. He is a co-founder and national director of Roots Action, an online advocacy organization which now has upwards of 1.3 million online supporters.

 

Emma Claire Foley is a Senior Associate for Policy and Action at Global Zero. She works on research relating to nuclear non-proliferation, risk reduction and disarmament advocacy efforts and monitors international and domestic policy developments.

 

David Borris is the Board President of Chicago Peace Action. A position he has held for 12 years.  Chicago Peace Action focuses on the intersectionality of climate disruption, runaway defense spending and foreign policy through the lens of equity and justice.
